Skiers, are you ready- the slopes at Breckenridge Ski Resort open this week! Grab your gear and get ready for a winter full of stellar skiing!
A few days ago, I shared that Breckenridge was planning to open on Friday, November 11th. Since then, the snow has continued to fall and the resort has been wrapping up preparations for the start of the season. Now, they've moved their opening day up to Wednesday, November 9th! That's right- skiers will get to hit the slopes a full two days early!
Breckenridge Ski Resort shared:
"Opening day at Breck kicks off at the base of Peak 8 with first chair on the Colorado SuperChair. DJDC will be spinning tunes on the Rockstar DJ Cat and we will be giving out free waffles as guests arrive to the base area to celebrate opening day. Bring your friends to celebrate!"
Because of the season's sensational snowfall, 54 acres of terrain on Peak 8 are ready to open. Learning terrain and carpets will also open in Rip's Ride learning area.
The lifts (Colorado SuperChair and 5-Chair) will start promptly at 8:30 AM on the 9th. The first chair on the Colorado SuperChair will receive special prizes from Oakley! Hop in line early and you could win big!
