The start of ski season is less than two weeks away. Snowmaking has been running full throttle in preparation for opening day. The resorts are ready to receive skiers! Mother Nature has chipped in to make the slopes even sweeter. The end of October brought fantastic snowfall to Breckenridge!
This week, Colorado saw massive amounts of snow in the mountains! Now, snow is on the ground across almost the entire state. Breckenridge saw impressive snowfall. More than 9 inches of fresh snow fell on the mountain! With the recent cold weather, this snow isn't going away anytime soon.
Ski season has been slow to start this year because of abnormally dry, warm weather. Many resorts that typically open in the middle of the month were forced to postpone opening. Breckenridge is set to open on November 11th.
