The Best Spots To Grab A Drink In Breck

February 13, 2019

Breckenridge is about as quintessential of a ski town as it gets. Main Street is illuminated year-round with twinkling lights, ski tuning shops are sprinkled on every block, and snow falls in abundance.

It figures, then, that Breckenridge would have some of the best watering holes in the Summit County area. But that’s not exactly the truth. In fact, Breckenridge has some of the best bars in the entire state.

If you’re visiting Breck, be sure to check out these local-favorite spots for après ski and for après the après.

1. T-Bar

Right at the base of Peak 8, T-Bar is one of the absolute best on-mountain après ski places you’ll find. While the prices for brews can get a bit steep, it’s the atmosphere that you’re really getting. Watch as late-day skiers make their way down the cruisers, listen as live bands perform through the evening, and sink your teeth into some delicious appetizers.

2. Breckenridge Brewery

Breckenridge Brewery is located on Main Street but is still within a quick drive or mild walk from the slopes. Choose between any of their flagship beers and you can’t go wrong. The Avalanche Amber Ale is a favorite, and the brewery also features seasonal microbrews to try. Come hungry because the pub also features an excellent menu of elevated pub food.

3. Cecilia’s

If you’re looking for a night out after the après, look no further than Cecilia’s. This fun dance bar usually has live DJs and a bumping dance floor. While it is always crowded on the weekends, Cecelia’s is also surprisingly lively throughout the week.

4. Mi Casa

For cheap beer and all the happy hour appetizers you could want, Mi Casa is the place to be. Choose between $2 cans of Tecate or Modelo Especial. You could also opt for a house margarita that will warm you up after a cold day out on the slopes. Happy hour lasts from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and it features delicious wings, tacos, and nachos.

Try one or all of these favorite watering holes the next time you visit Breckenridge!
