Whether it's your first day on skis or you're a seasoned skier riding the steepest runs, powder days are fun for everyone. With a total of
five peaks containing 187 runs, there is a place for anyone looking to make the most of fresh snow on the mountains in Breckenridge.
Beginner
Breckenridge is a beginner friendly resort with 11 percent of its runs rated green. On a powder day, try Lower Four O'Clock on Peak 8 and the Silverthorne run on Peak 9. The Lower Four O'Clock is the longest trail in Breck and the wide runs on Silverthorne make it easy for beginners to practice turns.
Intermediate
When the greens get too easy and you're looking for a challenge, Breckenridge has amazing blue runs to keep the day exciting. The best blue run for powder day is Bliss on Peak 6, an intermediate bowl that lives up to its name.
Advanced
Ore Bucket is a single black diamond located on Peak 7. Take the Independence SuperChair to find soft snow, scenic views, and tight tree runs. Like its name, you'll feel like you found a bucket of gold after finishing this run.
Expert
Whale's Tail, between Peak 7 and 8, is a double black diamond located above tree line. Skiers can ride the highest chairlift in North America, take in the incredible views, and drop down into the powder on this incredible run.
