Breckenridge set to open for Summer 2020

June 19, 2020

Summer is finally arriving in the mountains! Breckenridge Resort has announced today  that it will open up for Summer Operations on July 4th, 2020. Vail Resorts issued a press release today stating that “The resorts will open with a limited summer footprint focusing on mountain access and scenic lift rides. Lodging, restaurants, retail, biking and other activities will vary by location.”

Breckenridge will open the BreckConnet Gondola as well as certain chair lifts for scenic rides only. The alpine slide and alpine coaster will also open to the public. As for dining options, Ski Hill Grill will offer limited options in a grab ’n go format. If you are like me and looking to get outside and do some hiking, you are also in luck. Check out the Breckenridge  website for more up to date information on what will be opening and when.

Covid-19 protocols will be implemented across all resorts to ensure guest safety. This will included wearing face masks in certain areas of high traffic such as lift lines and indoors. Gondolas and chair lift will also run at a reduced capacity to ensure physical distancing. The resort will also be moving to cashless transactions for all purchases. Please refer to the summer 2020 update Vail Resorts has released to see the full list of what steps they are taking to ensure your safety.

For lodging, the resort recommends maintaining physical distancing from other guests as well as employees. What better way to do that than to book an entire home for your stay. Check out Deluxuri  and Rentalz to see what properties fit your needs.

Stay safe and enjoy the Colorado outdoors!
