Winter weather seems to be generously approaching the mountains in Colorado this week. In the past 24 hours, Breckenridge reported a foot of snow and looks to have snow in the forecast for the week ahead. It was a white Halloween! Snow-making crews got a head start by blowing snow earlier this week in preparation of Mother Nature lending a helping hand. The natural snow is creating a great base for the mountain to open.
With this said, 'Old Man Winter' has impeccable timing! Opening Day for the 2018/2019 ski season at Breckenridge Ski Resort takes place November 9th. I'm getting giddy with excitement just thinking about the snow and ski season ahead! First chair will load at 9 a.m. with fun festivities throughout the day.
The expert meteorologists are predicting another snow system lasting until early next week. Opening Day and early season skiing could actually provide for some amazing powder days! It can also be a great time to take advantage of cheaper prices traveling to the mountains.
