A Weekend of Events at Breck

November 17, 2019

Breckenridge continues to open up more terrain on the mountain.  Yesterday Peak 9 opened which now gives skiers and riders more access to the mountain.  Upper Park Lane also opened which includes a triple jump line and 10 rail features.

With sunny skies and mild temperatures, the weekends are already providing beautiful days on the slopes.  Snow is in the forecast in the week ahead, which will be good to add moisture and more snowfall to the base are allowing for more terrain to continue to open.

Have you heard of the Leave No Buddy Behind pass?  New for the 2019/20 season, redeem the Buddy and Ski-with-a-Friend-Tickets online, share with whoever in your family and friend group, then skip the ticket window and jump on the slopes.  A Buddy Ticket saves up to 40% off lift ticket prices!  It is a flat discounted ticket to be used to ski with family or friends.  Essentially they are discounted single day tickets that can be purchased for friends or family.  Buddy Tickets remain the same price all season long, however the earlier you buy your pass, the more Buddy Tickets you get.

Put Breck on your list to visit the weekend of November 22nd – 24th as a few fun events take place.  The 2nd annual MTN DEW SNOW DANCE is on November 23rd.  Get ready for a fun day on the mountain with these festivities taking place:

- All-day on-mountain activities including music from local DJs from 8:30am – 4pm.
- Free concert from 4pm – 8pm featuring music headliner RUFUS DU SOL (DJ SET) and support act A-Trak.
- Pro appearances by MTN DEW sponsored snowboarders and winter sport champions Red Gerard, Jules Marino and Danny Davis.
- Free giveaways, grub and lots of DEW

*Please note, tickets are required for entry to the concert but will be available at no cost, while supplies last. RSVP at dewsnowdance.com.  The RSVP does not guarantee admission. On-time arrival is always suggested as only the first 5,000 will be admitted.  Free parking at the Airport Lot; 5-minute shuttle ride to the BreckConnect Gondola.

Another noteworthy event to check out on November 23rd is the Colorado Avalanche Information Center annual fundraiser going into its 12th year for the CAIC Benefit Bash.  I put this on my list to attend because it is so much fun and the energy, people, bands, noteworthy cause all contributes to a really fun night.  Taking place at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge, the kick off party will feature great 80’s music from The Goonies, delicious local beer from Breckenridge Brewery and dinner from 5 star catering.  Tickets are $50, which includes one door prize ticket, two drink tickets, dinner, access to a large silent auction and gear giveaway and concert from The Goonies.
